Sexual Healing and Male Sexual Enhancement

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a very private condition, and for some, a life changing experience. Whether it is from low testosterone, medications, psychogenic issues, diabetes mellitus, prostate surgery, hardening of the arteries, or simply old age, the results can be very serious. Stefanie A. Schultis, M.D. is a Certified Provider of this revolutionary, highly effective, treatment in the form of the Priapus® P-Shot, PRP Injections.

Unlike many of the other treatments for male sexual dysfunction, the Priapus Shot® is a stress-free treatment. You don't have to fear side effects, such as stroke, headaches, heart attacks or erections that last for hours. Many men experience added benefits from the Priapus Shot®, achieving not only improved sexual function, but a boost in desire as well.

What is the Priapus® P-Shot?
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood is injected into the penis with a very tiny needle to revitalize the organ.

What should I expect during my appointment?

  • There will be an initial consultation (which should be covered by insurance) with our Men's Services' Director, David and Dr. Schultis for us to get to know you and for you to get to know us and to learn more about the Priapus® Shot.

  • An initial consultation and procedure may be scheduled for the same appointment time.

  • Late afternoon and Saturday morning appointments are available.

  • It is approximately a 60 minute office procedure that starts with a small quantity of your own blood taken from your arm.

  • The blood is put in a centrifuge to separate the PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) from the red cells.

  • The PRP is transferred into another tube and a few drops of calcium chloride solution is added to convert this to platelet rich fibrin matrix (PRFM) to trick the body into thinking that it has been injured.

  • The platelets release the 8 growth factors into the liquid in the tube.

  • The liquid is transferred into a syringe and, after an anesthetic cream has taken effect, injected into the penis, using a very tiny needle, and in a way that distributes the growth factors properly.

How long does the effect of the Priapus® P-Shot last?
The effects vary and may last up to 18 months, and could be permanent as if the tissues actually became younger. There is growth of new tissue by stimulation of unipotent stem cells so the change in shape is not from something foreign being in the body but from the body actually rejuvenating and growing.

How does the Priapus® P-Shot work?
The PRFM ( Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix) stimulates new blood flow with new blood vessels not from simple dilatation of the existing
blood vessels. The growth factors activate unipotent stem cells to cause:

  • Fibroblast proliferation, migration and activation

  • Remodeling

  • Neovascularization

  • Adipocyte multiplication and enlargement

Who may benefit from the Priapus® P-Shot?
Any male who has difficulty in attaining or maintaining an erection due to effects resulting from unknown reasons, prostate surgery, diabetes mellitus, side effects from medications such as anti-hypertensives or anti-depressants may be a candidate for the Priapus® P-Shot procedure.

Are there any dangers or side effects?
Since all of the products retrieved in PRP are exclusively from YOU (Autologous in origin), there is no risk of allergic reaction or intolerance ever reported in the literature in several thousand papers written on the subject.

How long does it take for the Priapus® P-Shot to work?
The effect of the prp injections treatment may occur in 4 - 12 weeks.

What can I expect from the Priapus® P-Shot?

  • May strengthen the organ for a more firmer erection

  • Increases the circulation within the penis for healthier organ

  • May make the other therapies work better (if you still need Viagra or Cialis then may work better for you)

  • Increases sensation and pleasure

  • May improve effects of Peyronie's disease
