Female sexual issues are common. So common, this condition is referred to as Female Sexual Arousal Disorder (FSAD). It is characterized by a persistent or recurrent inability to attain sexual arousal or to maintain arousal until the completion of a sexual activity.
Sexual response involves a complex interplay of physiology, emotions, experiences, beliefs, lifestyle and relationships. Disruption of any component can affect sexual desire, arousal or satisfaction, and treatment often involves more than one approach.

Conditions may have physical or psychological causes. Physical causes may include desire and function. Psychological causes may include work-related stress and anxiety. They may also include depression or concerns about marriage or relationship problems. For some women, the problem results from past sexual trauma.
Medications – medications to treat mood disorders or heart disease are among the most common to cause problems, although there are others.
Illicit drug use.
Vascular or blood flow problems like high cholesterol, high blood pressure or diabetes.
Hormonal problems like menopause, thyroid disease or postpartum.
