Morpheus8 Versus Microneedling
The effects of Morpheus8 combines two clinically proven treatments–microneedling and minimally invasive radiofrequency treatment–to trigger collagen and elastin production, tighten fibers and contour fat. While ordinary microneedling can only target skin to a depth of 1.5 to 2 millimeters, the Morpheus8 is tailored to each patient’s needs and the depths can be adjusted anywhere from 0.5mm to as deep as 8mm. This allows fat contouring at deeper depths while superficial depths target skin rejuvenation. Morpheus8 can treat the entire face and neck in one treatment, from delicate tissue around the eye to thicker skin around the neck and jawline. This results in firm, radiant skin.

The Procedure
First, we will cleanse your skin and apply topical anesthesia. This ensures that you’re comfortable throughout the treatment. The handpiece will be strategically placed to address your concerns. The device will emit radiofrequency energy and puncture the skin, creating micro-injuries that stimulate collagen. As your skin begins to heal, fresh skin will form. Its top layer will look bright, smooth, and youthful.
Immediately after your treatment, you can expect your skin to be red and tender. You may experience swelling, redness, blistering for 48 to 72 hours. Fortunately, these side effects are short-lived and will subside as your skin heals. We recommend that you apply a facial sunscreen and refrain from makeup use for at least two days after treatment.
Your individual needs and the areas being treated will determine the length of the treatment. Most sessions, however, take between 45 minutes to an hour. For best results, we recommend 3 sessions spaced one month apart.
How Quickly Will I See Results with Morpheus8?
While every patient’s skin is unique, Morpheus8 results can be seen in as few as 3 days with the most noticeable results appearing after 1 month. You may continue to see improvements 6- 12 months after treatment as it takes collagen up to 6 months to fully form. For best results, dermatologists recommend three treatments spaced out 4 to 6 weeks apart, although there is no upper limit on how many treatments you can have. Skin-tightening results can last on average 2 to 5 years.
