Hormone Imbalance in Men

Testosterone is very important in the physiology of numerous organ systems of the body. The serum testosterone concentration declines as part of the process of aging and even the slightest change can have a very big impact on a man's overall health and well-being. With low testosterone levels (sometimes referred to as Andropause or Low T) you may experience some of these symptoms including: Fatigue Mood Disturbances Sexual Dysfunction (decreased libido, changes in erectile and ejaculatory quality) Loss of Bone and Muscle Mass Loss of Body Hair Increased Body Fat Hot Flashes Hormonal imbalance can also be responsible for new on-set medical problems such as: Central obesity (beer belly) Elevated triglycerides/cholesterol Insulin resistance Type II diabetes Hypertension Cardiovascular disease Andropause typically occurs between the ages of 40 and 60, but, is seen in men as young as thirty. Not every man gets every symptom. Hormone replacement pellet therapy is not recommended for men who may plan on fatherhood.

Bio-identical hormone replacement pellet therapy is an all-natural treatment that delivers a constant level of hormones which helps in alleviating many of the symptoms of Low T while helping to improve a man's overall health.

Here is a Worth It Review from a patient to realself.com.

“Juliet has more than just your back.....

After having my three children accompanied by menopause it goes without saying that changes were noticed and those changes were accompanied by self esteem issues that strongly impacted the decline of a once active sex life both my husband and I once new.

I was experiencing pain and dryness that prescriptions from my OB didn’t help anymore than her saying “welcome to getting older “

My three girlfriends and I all are in our 50’s have botox and laser treatments, and while we were all talking one day and one our friends said ladies it’s time to introduce your menopause to my good friend Juliet. I am posting on behalf of the three of us. We each had 2-3 treatments and we all agree that we started noticing changes after the first treatment and after subsequent treatments things have continued to improve. personally I don’t even need to go the last session.

The actual treatment itself is not really all that uncomfortable and there was only a couple of days of downtime. Results exceeded all of our expectations.”

1. Well-Woman Visit

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends women visit their gynecologist yearly for their annual examinations. This exam may include obtaining vitals, performing a pelvic exam, screening for disease and counseling. It helps your gynecologist assess your overall health, and it plays an important role in preventative care for women of all ages.

2. Irregular Periods

It’s important to see your gynecologist any time you experience abnormalities in your monthly cycle. If your period is irregular, painful, heavy, lasts longer than seven days or if you experience spotting between periods, schedule a visit with your physician as soon as possible. These could be signs of an underlying issue such as fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic infection or other serious conditions.

3. Lower Abdominal Pain

Experiencing abdominal pain or discomfort may be a sign that something’s not right, and your gynecologist can help determine the cause. If you experience pelvic pain, sharp abdominal pain, abdominal pain after intercourse or severe menstrual cramps, make an appointment with your gynecologist.

4. Problems Down There

If you notice unusual discharge, vaginal bumps, burning when urinating, vaginal itching or vaginal odor, see your gynecologist ASAP. These types of symptoms could point to a problem such as a urinary tract infection, yeast infection or sexually transmitted disease.

5. Breast Health

Annual breast exams are recommended for women over 40, and younger women with a family history of breast cancer. It’s also important to contact your gynecologist should you experience any unusual issues such as breast pain, lumps or discharge. Your doctor may want you to undergo further screenings such as an ultrasound or mammogram to rule out breast cancer.

6. Birth Control

If you’re sexually active but not wishing to have children, it’s critical to discuss contraception with your gynecologist. Besides the pill, there are many options available such as patches, vaginal rings, IUDs and barrier methods. With your gynecologist’s help, you can find the best method for your lifestyle.

7. Pre-Pregnancy Planning

A preconception visit with your OBGYN is very beneficial if you’re planning to start a family. You can discuss ways to stay healthy and improve your chances to conceive. Any potential risks and medical issues can also be addressed before you become pregnant.
